Awakening Forgotten Languages - and Our True Nature

Writer's picture: MeditationMeditation
Many decades ago, as a student, I studied the French language.

I amassed a large vocabulary and mastered the grammar but my conversation skills were neglected.

On a recent visit to France I noticed many words and phrases bubbling up spontaneously.

Returning home I found, by accident a book of French short stories with English translation.

The stories were written by established novelists and well translated — sophisticated.

I was amazed and delighted by the level of my comprehension and enjoyment of the stories.

The next thing that happened is that inside the only book which survived our house fire (see previous blog: The Burned House, the Charred Books, and the Eternal Sky)

was a folded sheet of paper, a little singed at the edges but otherwise intact, on which was written my fumbling beginnings at learning the Korean alphabet

My one year of studying the Korean language was only ONE decade ago and I have many more reasons to want to speak and comprehend in Korean than I have for French.

So it was clear to me that the Universe is not only giving me a nudge to get back on the Korean language horse, but clearly telling me that everything learned is just waiting to be woken up.

So I am just bombing it!

Exciting. Fun. Satisfying

Just like this our Original true nature is simply dying to be awakened.

We just have to get rid of our second nature that is smothering it.

Just as there is a method to learn a language, now there is a method to unknow all our old stale stories that carry so much burden and suffering and to wake up to reality.

I invite you to try.
